Ulcerative Colitis: is a form of colitis, a disease of the colon (the largest portion of the large intestine), that includes characteristic ulcers, or open sores. The main symptom of active disease is usually constant diarrhea mixed with blood, of gradual onset.

Symptoms of UC (in order of severity):
1. Frequent loose motions/diarrhea
2. Hyper acidity combined with constipation or diarrhea
3. Black or dark stools
4. Mucus in stools
5. Blood in stools with urgency to rush for motion in flair (acute condition) the frequency of motions goes to 6-10.
6. Drastic weight loss and pale body
